~FOTD~ Revlon Colorstay 16-hour Eye Shadow in Adventurous....

Wednesday, January 11, 2012

Technically, this purchase, Revlon ColorStay 16 hour Eye Shadow in Adventurous, was purchased with Extra Bucks the day before I started my 60 day No Buy. LOL!

Also, I don't know if  I lasts "16 hours"...I wore it both days for about 8 hours each...so...*shrugs*:)

See? This is why I don't do swatches. Shoddy swatching.:/

The colors have good pigmentation, I didn't do much building, if any, but I'm over big bold pigmentation, so this color level worked will on me. The quad is also very "warm"...if you have golden or warm undertones, it will be gorgeous. Perfect for work and traveling....

Day One

I didn't use a primer either...just to see how long it will last....no creasing and lasted about 7-8 hours.

Day Two

The blending quality is great...I didn't have to put any elbow grease into it. LOL!

I don't know if I'll buy the other colors...I'll need to take another look....

The swatching you do works for me. I like to see how they show up on another woman of color. I've been disappointed before because I expected colors to be vibrant after seeing swatches on a pale girl and should have known better! lol

I love Revlon because they do generally have a great selection of neutrals, you could make your own "Naked" palette with a handful of their quads. At the same time it could be kind of boring since they do mostly neutrals and sometimes you want something more colorful, but there's other brands like Wet n Wild or Rimmel for that.

That is good to hear. I have the old quads and while the color selection is okay, the pigmentation was pretty lacking and some of the colors I had to layer to show up on me. But then again I am a NW46 shade so that might be it *shrugs*. I have some CVS extra bucks I wanna spend and I guess I will give this a try.
