~FOTD~ mark.On The Dot Eye Color Compact in Neutrals......

Friday, December 09, 2011

Ya'll know I love neutral shadow....so when mark. On The Dot Neutrals palette was sent my way, I was geeked.....lol!
"Our best-selling compact veers into neutral territory for this limited-edition offering of nine metallic brown shades, ranging from chocolate to copper. Connect the "dots" together in different ways to create unlimited high-impact looks. 0.18 oz. net wt. each shade."

My take:

-The some of the colors are repeats, they just are. I have swatched and played with this palette for weeks and you can see by looking at the palette their some repeats in this joint. To make matters more INTERESTING...its $15. I've gotten a better selection of colors from a $1.99 beauty supply store eye shadow palette.

However...the colors, repeats and all, are vibrant, shimmery, sexy, glowy shadows...every look I did with this palette I liked! But I wouldn't buy this for $15....no way.
I played with On The Dot Neutrals today...I used a color from Wet N' Wild I Heart Matte as my brow bone highlighter.....
Liner on top by Tarte Clay Pot Liner in Black with the angled Sonia Kashuk eyeliner brush...can I tell you how much I LOVE that dang brush???? OMG!!!

What do you think? Would you pay $15 for repeat colors??? Let me know!!!

I received a free product (or products) for review purposes. I did not receive any form of compensation from the company. All opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway. My reviews are my personal and honest opinions

~FOTD~ Absolute! Perfect Eighteen Colors Palette in Eclipse...

Remember when I bought these Absolute/Nicka K Perfect Eighteen Colors Palette and featured them in a haul? They were only $2.99 at my local BSS but they are sold on the Nicka K. website.

I've been playing with these babies here and there and I really like the medium pigmentation and assortment of colors. Seriously, you can't beat this deal with a stick, the colors are fly and the whole thing was under $5. They work and remind me of the Nicka K HD single shadows that are also sold at beauty supply stores and Online.

The look below is from the "Eclispe" palette which the one of the left in the picture. I used the two silver shades, some the browns,  and the matte black ( which is a soot-y high pigment black). It gave me the perfect well rounded eye, without having to dig around for other colors in other palettes or singles. Grab it if you see it!!

Here's the link for it online.....

Wearing my MAC All Of My Purple Life...perfect season for it too..... word on the street is that there is a petition going around to bring it back!
The colors blend with ease....great colors, very build-able for intensity....

Have you seen these in your local private own beauty supply store????
