~FOTD~ tarte Puttin' On The Glitz LE Color Collection and Purse-Day 1

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

I thought Christmas had shown up early when I recieved tarte Puttin On The Glitz LE Color Collection and Purse. You know when you are an adult with kids, you don't expect gifts...ok some of ya'll do (lol!) but I never do. I'll call this a "gift".:)

Here's the deets on this collection!:
This holiday season shine like a screen siren with tarte's puttin' on the glitz limited-edition color collection & clutch. Inspired by the iconic glamour of Old Hollywood and this season's most sought-after accessory, this silver carry-all is truly something to marvel at. Featuring a slim row of gold-tone links and stunning metallic python leather (faux, of course), this clutch is bound to turn heads this season and sure to inspire a chain reaction of ooohs and ahhs.
Even better: this perfectly portable gift collection has three interchangeable palettes and a universally flattering, maracuja-infused lipgloss inside so it can easily transition throughout the day making it the ideal versatile option for your accessory wardrobe.
each set includes:

  • 3 interchangeable palettes for a total of 18 eyeshadows, 1 Amazonian clay 12-hour blush, 1 Amazonian clay shimmering powder and 1 park ave princess Amazonian clay bronzer

  • maracuja-infused lipgloss

  • reusable purse that features 4 credit card slots and a removable mirror

  • detailed "get-the-look" instruction card

  •  I thought I would do a 3-Day Wear-A-Thon on the collection then do a summary/review on day three.
Currently, this set is $48 on tarte's website with free shipping ( yesterday they had it for $33...so keep checking back, they might run another sale on it)

Day 1: Walk In The Park Palette ( picture above)
Excuse that hat...I had just washed, condish, and did a "Bantu" knot on my hair and I needed run errands.

There are three shimmers and three mattes( they have a bit of shimmer to them, though) in the palette. This palette also includes  the popular tarte bronzer in Park Ave. Princess. The eye shadow have great pigmentation, around the medium level...I actually used the top to dark shades and got a great color...blends with ease as well.

I will say, that the shimmer in the shadow is a bit on the chalky side, it gave me more of a white glow, instead of a golden glow, if you get what I'm saying. I'm not the biggest tarte shadow fan. Over the years, I didn't think that their color shadows worked well for a brown skinned girls such as myself, definitely more for the fair skinned. I thought I would give these a try to see if they were a bit better at the shadow game.

    Stay tuned for Day 2!!!

I received a free product (or products) for review purposes. I did not receive any form of compensation from the company. All opinions are my own and not influenced in anyway. My reviews are my personal and honest opinions
