Wednesday's Wander-about!

Wednesday, July 12, 2006

I actually have a the day off. Well, It's my day off but I never have it off because somehow I get pimped into coming in. But today, I took my Bams to the daycare where it was their day to go the Y and swim. I headed to Spartanburg to do a return to Target and have lunch. Target is a horrible weakness of mine. I breathe Target! Anyway, they were putting out their new fall handbags and restocking magazines. I picked out the new Essence that has Jamie Foxx on the front. In it, there is an amazing fashion editorial on Kerry Washington. She looks phenomenal in dark colors and metallics. Her face is always flawlessly done. She is also a new face of L'Oreal and an ad of her in the new HIP line is in Essence too. The ad makes want to go and get everything she has on her face. I ventured over to the grocery lanes and "bumped" into a Choxie Hot Chocolate Bar(chocolate with chipotle heat) and some Archer Farms Jalapeno Savory Pretzels.

After Tar-Jay, I was going to hunt down the Star Style Collection Halle Berry by Revlon. It's normally at Walgreens first in the SP. Yesterday, I check Revlon's website of a overview of her collection. When I find it(which will probably be tomorrow, since I got to go back up there) I'm getting Scene Stealer Eye Shadow in Midnight Kohl, Super Lustrous l/g in Peachy Sheen, and Nail Enamel in First Blush. I think I'll pass on the Starlight Face and Body Shimmer since I have so many shimmers and bronzers. But you know me,I'll see it and probably buy it anyway!

After lunch,I decided to skip my weekly jaunt to B&N and head downtown SP to go to a shoe store called The Glass Slipper. But like a lot little boutique-y stores, they were closed for lunch so walk around and went to Three Sisters and then Cafe Ishi, where I had a Twix Mocha cold, which was divine and sat in the cafe and read the Spartanburg Herald Journal.

Okay, next week,I'm going to brave the trek to Haywood Mall in Greenville to go the Bobbi Brown counter to try some of the Chocolate Collection everyone's been raving about. Now,I'm a BB fan,I have owned her foundation stick, pressed powder, several lip sticks and lip glosses. I'm also nude face fan but lots of chocolate colors just blend "into" me. But I thought from the looks of the palette I might like it if someone helped me with application. Now my girls would say I know everyting about makeup but you can always learn and be taught something new. That's how you keep your look fresh. Wish me luck. The appointment is Friday July 21,2006.

Off to watch Oprah and read my new Gourmet mag.

Have a good day!

J

I saw that Essence article! I really think Kerry is one of those up and comers...she is BEAUTIFUL and has amazing skin. Mark my words...she will end up like Halle with a cosmetics endorsement deal.
